In recent yearsstuding show that Collagen also has biological activities in regulating blood lipid, anti-tumor, anti-arthritis, immune regulation and other aspects, so it is also widely used in dietary supplement and medical treatment.
In this studing show we use Safranin-O staining method to analyze the glycoprotein distribution of articular cartilage tissue. The results showed that the content of glycoprotein in the articular cartilage of OA mice was significantly reduced, and the pathological defects were obviousbut the use of SCC intervention can significantly increase the content of glycoprotein, effectively alleviate the pathological injury of articular cartilage.
In this experiment, the effect of shark-derived chondroitin sulfate and collagen compound (SCC) on mice OA was studied. An OA animal model was constructed by quantitative injection of type II collagenase into the inner cavity of the knee joint, and SCC was given by oral gavage every day for 4 weeks.
Studies have shown that SCC can restore collagen lost in articular cartilage, thereby significantly improving the symptoms of knee arthritis in mice caused by type II collagenase.
Studies have shown that this compound derived from shark cartilage has a good prospect of being developed into a dietary supplement, which provides a foundation for the in-depth development of shark cartilage resources.
